Maricela Rodriguez Barr, AIA

Picture
Maricela Rodriguez Barr, registered architect, started The Barr Company in 1981. Under her leadership, the firm now manages more than eight million dollars in work annually. Her experience, energy and astute business sense make her a significant contributor to every project the firm handles.

Her particular area of expertise is financial management on the global level. In fact, she acted as the financial manager for the AISD $450 million bond program. Ms. Barr has served on the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners, as Vice Chair of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and on the board of the Austin United Way. She is a respected and active member of the community, which gives her the advantage of working confidently with the many minority groups, political organizations, small and local businesses, large corporations, contractors and subcontractors that come into play during the life of a public project.
